Salley’s Chili

  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 large can whole tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 can red beans, drained and rinsed well with water

In a large skillet or a Dutch oven, brown the ground beef with the green pepper and onion; drain fat.

Add tomatoes, crushing with spoon, and spices. Drain and rinse beans and add to chili; heat through and serve.
