- 2 ½ cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- Pinch salt
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter and flour 9 x 13 pan. Combine flour, sugars, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and oil in bowl; when the mix is crumbly, remove 1 cup and reserve it for topping. Add egg, buttermilk, baking soda, and baking powder to batter and mix. Pour into baking pan, then sprinkle reserved mix over top. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes; sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
